Hi, my name's Alec.

After years of travelings and thousands of photos taken, I realized that I never got to share my experiences, photos, or tips I learned along the way in the way I wanted to - one that wasn't so tied to poor Facebook image quality (which drives me insane), one off posts on Instagram, or 140 characters tweets. So it just seemed like the natural progression to start blogging - and since every blog needs a cool name, The Liminal Life seemed cool enough. 

I don't actually have any idea what I'm doing, but I think that's the fun of it. 

I came up with this completely made up thing that I'm calling #30by30 - I wanna visit 30 countries by the time I turn 30. I'm currently at 22 and I have another 4ish years, so I think I can pull it off. Since I'm trying to travel more and more, it seemed like the perfect time to start logging my experiences so I don't grow old and forget everything I did in my youth :) I'll be sharing posts on places I visited awhile ago as well as new trips as I take them - international, domestic, and/or wherever else I feel so inspired to share.
